General Description
There are few routes to climb to the Tissihuette. The book suggests 3 (one main and 2 alternatives). 1. The recommended way is to use 2 lifts. This bring us further from the hut (take us east and south) but raise us almost 1000 meter in altitude. 2. A boring way to get into the ridge. 3. A way that has risk of stones dropping on your head. Another option is to walk to the near village (Massare) and go up from there.
We chose option number 1 (recommended by the book). From Allaghe we take 2 lifts (one after another) this gets us to 1922 meter altitude. From this point we start walking on the Alta Dolomites 1, the beginning of the walk is on a short descent, after which we start climbing to a hut called Rifugio Coldai.
From Rifugio Coldai we descend again to the Forcella Col Rean mountain pass and then start climbing again to this day hut – Tissihuette (AKA Rifugio Tissi).
The main advantage of this option is that it lets you hike 3 hour at high altitude, providing you with great views, including the Lago Coldai lake.
Right by the Tissihuette (3 minutes walking from it) there is the Cima di Col Rean summit, from which we can watch Alleghe, which we departed from this morning.
Additionally, throughout the day, and especially in its end, we can see the impressive mount Civetta .

Note: the data above represent the option we took (with the 2 lifts).
