General Description
From the look of it, this day seems quite hard. It got everything: a respectable amount of ascent and descent and a high net walking time. But it turns out to be not bad at all.
This day is full of ups and downs, no less than 4 mountain passes, but in reality all those ups and downs are short, the only significant ascent is the last one, to the Peitlerscharte mountain pass.
One of the nicest things about this day is that most of the day we walk on green hills, at high altitude, this provides us with great views from both side, and in front of us we keep seeing the last ridge we will cross today, with its unique Dolomites look.
Along the way we pass by a few huts, you can choose any of them to stop for a meal.
The last climb of the day, to the Peitlerscharte mountain pass is more challenging than the rest. It is also the longest and steepest. But the view we get to see when we reach the top is worth any effort.
From the mountain pass we walk another hour and a half in a flat-descent path, all the way to tonight’s hut.
Sleeping: the Schlueterhuette hut of the Italian Alpine Club, also called Rifugio Genova (all the Italian huts got another name). a really nice hut, good food and comfy beds.
It looks like this is another touristic hut. when we reached it, it was in the middle of the week and still was fully packed. So don’t forget to reserve a place.

A little note about the marking mentioned above: It seems like there were some changes made in routes A2 and 2 (shortly before we were there), those 2 are the paths you walk at the beginning of the day. You might only have to walk on one of them, take note at the signposts.
