General Description
If you chose to finish yesterday at the Grodner Joch than you won a short day today. And not only short, very fun! If yesterday iron cable climb left you with a taste for more, today you are going to get more! To add a little awe we will climb on a path marked 666.
From the Grodner Joch we take path 666, at first the raise is moderate, but after a while become steep (more of those gravel zigzags), after a little more climbing we reach the challenging part, the iron cable/rungs part.
At the end of the entire climb (there is another part after the iron cable part) we reach a mountain pass that signify the highest point of the trail (2962) unless you’ll choose to climb the Piz Boe (more on that on next day page).
From the mountain pass we continue in a descent/flat path all the way to the Boehuette (AKA Rifugio Boe), positioned right below the Piz Boe.
Sleeping: The Boehuette hut of the Italian Alpine Club. It is a small hut. You can feel that it’s very “disconnected” from the rest of the world. There is electricity for only 4 hours a day. The meals are small and the water are not drinkable (so you need to buy). But what can you do? That’s what you get with a hut in the middle of nowhere :)
